Exhaust gas temperature sensors

NRF is a supplier of exhaust gas temperature sensors (EGTS). NRF offers a high quality product at competitive aftermarket prices. All our EGTS are extensively tested in the NRF sensor laboratory in Spain. In an ISO certified clean room, NRF is testing, validating and developing all kinds of sensors.

Competitive range
The NRF exhaust gas temperature sensor range contains over 300 references covering 1250 OE references.

The function of an exhaust gas temperature sensor
Exhaust gas temperature sensor measures the temperature of the exhaust gas. This information is then relayed back to the engine control unit or ECU, where appropriate action is taken. In petrol engines, its main role is to protect key components from the higher temperatures common with downsized engines. If the sensor detects excessive temperatures, the ECU will reduce the temperature by lowering boost pressure in the case of the turbocharger or increasing the quantity of fuel injected. In diesel engines, exhaust gas temperature sensors are also used to monitor the temperature of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) to establish the correct temperature for regeneration.

Easy Fit
Almost all NRF exhaust gas temperature sensors are Easy Fit. In the product packaging you will find high temperature grease. By applying this specific grease during installation, friction is prevented and correct assembly is guaranteed. The grease can be used at operating temperatures from -51 to 1.400 °C. With Easy Fit you save time and money, which results in higher customer satisfaction.
