The function

The heater in a truck is part of the HVAC system that provides warm air to the cabin during cold weather. It works by using engine coolant, which absorbs heat from the running engine. This hot coolant flows through a small radiator called the heater core, and a fan blows air across it, sending warm air into the cabin. This system helps maintain a comfortable interior temperature regardless of external conditions.

In heavy-duty trucks, the heater is essential for driver comfort and safety, especially on long routes in winter or cold climates. It also helps with windshield defrosting by directing warm, dry air onto the glass to improve visibility. A properly working heater ensures consistent warmth and supports safe driving by preventing fog and ice buildup inside the cabin.
