Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensors

The function

Exhaust gas pressure sensors monitor pressure differences across the diesel particulate filter (DPF), providing the ECU with critical data on filter load and exhaust system efficiency. This enables accurate assessment of soot accumulation during engine operation.

Based on these readings, the ECU can trigger DPF regeneration when required, helping maintain optimal exhaust flow, efficient engine performance, and compliance with emissions regulations.

Product Testing & Validation

NRF exhaust gas pressure sensors are validated by applying varying pressure levels while measuring voltage output to ensure accurate and consistent pressure detection. This confirms reliable sensor response across the full operating range.

Sensor signals are also monitored using an oscilloscope, allowing precise analysis and comparison of output behaviour. This validation process ensures accurate data transmission, stable ECU communication, and dependable long-term performance in exhaust system applications.
